Use finder to navigate to the directory where the hidden files should be located. Then hold Command+Shift+Period at the same time and then release. This will show you the hidden files in that folder. It will appear grayed out to indicate that it’s normally a hidden file.
Most hidden files are hidden for a reason, so always be careful with what you are doing. They are files that need to be protected from accidental deletion or modification.
